New upscale condos coming to D.C.’s Dupont Circle

New residential development is rare in the long-established Dupont Circle neighborhood of Northwest Washington.

The J Street Companies recently acquired 2122 to 2128 N St. NW to develop a new nine-unit condominium to be called the Pacifica. The condo, two blocks from Dupont Circle, will offer residents walkability to Georgetown and the West End as well as shops and restaurants in Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom.

Designed by GTM Architects, each of the nine units will have an average size of 1,500 square feet and include high-end features such as private terraces and balconies, top-of-the-line kitchen appliances, stone countertops, custom-designed cabinetry and hardwood and porcelain-tile flooring. The building is being designed to achieve LEED for Homes and Energy Star certifications for energy efficiency.

Building amenities will include parking, a roof terrace and an elevator. The contractor, McCullough Construction, has been involved with other upscale residential projects in the city such as 1055 High in Georgetown.

Prices have yet to be determined. The condo is expected to be completed in early 2019.
