McCullough delivered two distinctive dining and entertainment venues in Columbia Heights — Lou’s Bar & Grill and Acre 121. Lou’s is a 4,000 SF sports bar featuring dramatic vaulted arched wood ceilings, a 45-foot bar, and a rich custom millwork package including a mahogany bar top, banquettes, and decorative wall panels. Acre 121, located just down the block, underwent a complete overhaul of layout, finishes, and flooring — including reclaimed bar wood and benches, a white marble bar, custom millwork wall panels, subway tile, vintage bathroom accents, and a separate enclave with banquettes, mirrors, and metal panel walls.
