Construction on this upscale Mexican restaurant involved restoration of an historic building, which was previously a McCormick Paints store. Renovations were structural as well as architectural, including the demolition of a load bearing masonry wall to open up the first floor from two separate spaces into 2,000 SF of open dining and bar area.
Architectural features include the restoration of the original terrazzo flooring, a new bar and interior low walls clad in western red cedar and colored glass throughout. The building’s original façade openings were re-opened and restored to new storefronts.
